NIJ Level II Body Armor

NIJ II armor protects the wearer from lower velocity pistol rounds such as .32acp, .380acp, .38spl and some 9mm and .357mag rounds.

NIJ level II armor is thin, flexible, lightweight and highly concealable, providing the wearer ballistic protection when more conventional armor isn't possible.

NIJ Level III Body Armor

NIJ III armor plates protect the wearer from rifle rounds such as 5.56x45mm, 7.62x39mm and 7.62x51mm commonly fired from battle rifles such as the AR-15, AK-47 and FN-FAL.

Level III plates are heavier and thicker than IIIA armor and come in a more limited range of sizes but offer the wearer significantly more protection.

To qualify as NIJ level III an armor plate must be able to stop six rounds of 7.62x51mm FMJ.

Level III plates offer protection from standard rifle ammunition but are not rated against many steel core / armor piercing rifle rounds.

Users who want protection from intermediate rifle rounds without the bulk and weight of level IV plates should consider level III armor.

Should I get a concealed undershirt plate carrier or a discrete tactical vest?

If you plan to wear your armor overtly as a tactical vest and concealed under clothing then you may consider a discrete plate carrier for your needs.

If you plan to wear your armor concealed at all times then an undershirt style plate carrier may be a better choice.

Can I wear this armor with normal clothes?

Our armor systems are designed to be worn discretely under normal clothing.

T-shirt plate carriers and concealed vests can be worn under a normal shirt and our discrete carrier vests can be worn under a normal jacket or sweatshirt.

How do I clean my body armor?

The ballistic panels can be removed from your armor system and the carrier material can be washed like normal clothing.
